SpaceX Starship SN9 prototype had a hard landing during the test flight almost identical to its successor, SN8.
For landing, Starship should perform something like a free-fall maneuver. They are designed to fall the final 10-20 km belly-first, using four large flaps to control its orientation and height.
However, the unharmed Starship SN10 could begin its flight qualification test within a few days. After identifying the root cause of the landing failure and explosion, SpaceX will work on try to rectify the problem in the SN10 flight.
Because SpaceX is an organization that learns from mistakes.
